When you book with 4Drive Macedonia, you pay a booking advance online by card. The payment form appears during checkout, and you complete the transaction before receiving your voucher. We do not accept cash payments online. The advance confirms your reservation and locks in the rate shown during your search.
The remaining balance is due when you collect the vehicle. The amount, accepted payment methods, and pickup location are all listed in your voucher. Most vehicles allow you to settle the balance with a debit card or cash in Macedonian denars. Some vehicles require a credit card - this requirement is displayed clearly before you confirm your booking.
Your voucher includes the rental company's contact details and pickup instructions. The rental agreement is signed at the counter or delivery point, and any damage or pre-existing marks are noted in that document.

Vehicles that require a credit card state this clearly. The credit card must be in the main driver's name. If you do not have a credit card, look for vehicles marked as accepting debit cards or cash - these options are filtered separately in your search results.
Some vehicles on our platform carry a "no deposit" and "no credit card" tag. This means the rental company will not block a security amount on your card when you collect the vehicle, and you may pay the balance with a debit card or cash.
This label applies to individual vehicles, not to entire classes or groups. A compact SUV from one supplier might require a credit card and a security hold, while a similar model from another supplier might not. Always check the listing before booking.
If you plan to use a debit card for a vehicle that does require a security hold, contact your bank beforehand to raise your card limit. The hold amount is specified in your voucher and is separate from the rental cost. The absence of a security hold does not change the excess amount stated in your rental agreement - these are independent parameters.
When a vehicle listing shows a security hold (deposit), the rental company blocks that amount on your card at pickup. The hold is released after you return the vehicle, provided there is no damage, missing fuel, or outstanding charges.
Refund timescales are listed in the vehicle details during booking and repeated in your voucher. Most banks process the release within five to ten working days, though this depends on your card issuer. The rental company controls the release date, not 4Drive Macedonia.
If there is damage or an additional charge, the rental company deducts the cost from the hold and returns the remainder. Any disputes about charges should be raised directly with the rental company using the contact details in your voucher.
Many bookings include free cancellation up to a specified time before pickup. The deadline is shown during checkout and in your voucher. If you cancel within the free period, the booking advance is refunded in full to the card used for payment.
Refunds typically process within seven to fourteen working days, depending on your card issuer. If you cancel after the free period, or if the booking was made under a non-refundable rate, the advance is not returned. Changes to your booking - such as different pickup dates or a different vehicle - may require cancelling the original reservation and making a new one. Some bookings allow modification free of charge; this option appears in your voucher if available.
All card payments are processed through an encrypted gateway that meets PCI DSS standards. Your card number, CVV, and expiry date are transmitted directly to the payment processor - 4Drive Macedonia does not store or access these details.
We collect only the information needed to issue your voucher: your name, email address, and booking reference. If your card is declined, check with your bank that international transactions are enabled and that you have sufficient funds or credit available.
